The Slate House is a superb period property, a house of original style situated in the older, more sought after part of town with views over the roof tops to the estuary from the top floor.
The accommodation is arranged on three floors with numerous features including brick and stone fireplaces, natural wood floors, balcony window off the main bedroom, Cornish slate tiled floor, south facing garden and the benefit of off road parking.
The Slate House also has a lovely balcony and garden to the rear which is perfect for alfresco dining and relaxing on summer evenings.

Holiday home comprises:

Downstairs: Kitchen with and electric oven with gas hob and a fridge with freezer compartment, lounge/diner with TV and DVD player and a woodburner (bring your own logs) and a shower/utility room with WC.
Upstairs: 1 double bedroom, 1 bunk bedroom and a bathroom with bath with shower above and washbasin and a separate WC.
Bedroom 1: A double bedroom (5ft bed)
Bedroom 2: A bunk bedroom (3ft beds)
Second floor: 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom.
Bedroom 3: A double bedoom (4ft 6” bed)

Linen and Towels:

There are steep steps from balcony to patio and open railings to balcony - care to be taken with small children.

As Christmas Eve falls over the weekend, arrivals will be as follows:
Christmas – Friday 21st December – Friday 28th December 2017
New Year – Friday 28th December 2017 – Friday 04th January 2018
Please book all the above dates from Saturday – Saturday on the website and we will amend the dates for you.

From the road there is a small paved driveway with parking plus a garage.
One step up over the door frame takes you into the ground floor hallway. From here there is one high step up into the kitchen with a door leading through to a shower room with WC and basin plus a washing machine and tumble dryer.
Back in the hallway there is one tiny step down in to the living/dining room. From the dining area there is a door leading out over one step to a slate paved patio area with table and chairs. Eight steps down lead onto a large patio area with more seating.
There is also a door leading out from the living room via one high step up and one step down onto the slate paved area (with eight steps down onto the next).
14 steps take you up to the first floor (watch your head on the way down as part of the ceiling is low). On this floor there is a separate WC and a narrow corridor leading down to a bathroom with bath and shower above and a bunk bedroom.
Two steps down from this hall lead through a low doorway into an upper hall where there is a king size double bedroom plus a further 12 steps up to the top floor where there is a twin and double bedroom.
The nearest payphone is outside the Custom House in Padstow. The nearest bus stop is at the bottom of Staion Road next to the Council carpark.
