Porthcothan

Porthcothan is approximately 4 miles from Padstow and has a lovely family beach with plenty of sand at low tide and is great for surfing. The beach is surrounded by sand dunes which are managed by a local trust and there are many rock pools next to the cliffs.  There is also a rocky outcrop with areas to explore at low tide but care must be taken not to get cut off.  This beach is lifeguard patrolled in the high season.There is a local shop/store as well as parking and toilet facilities.
