Towns and Villages

Blisland:
Very attractive moor land village set around village green the Church is well worth a visit.

Bodmin:
Busy town, home of the old law courts and the infamous Bodmin Jail (which can be visited).

Boscastle:
Famous for its interesting witchcraft museum.

Fowey:
Attractive town on the river.  Catch the car ferry to Bodinnick or take the foot ferry to Polruan.

Lerryn:
Pretty village in creek side setting, good pub, The Shop Inn, and good National Trust walks along the creek.

Port Gaverne:
Interesting, small fishing village. Excellent pub and restaurant, The Port Gaverne Hotel.

Port Quin:
Quaint fishing village, used in several scenes in Poldark.

St. Mawes:
Busy village, popular with sailing enthusiasts.  St Mawes castle is a twin with the one at Pendennis.

St Mawgan:
Pretty village near Newquay, interesting church.

Tintagel
Renowned for its association with the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table

Truro:
Capital city of Cornwall with excellent shopping and a wide range of interesting features, including the Georgian elegance of Lemon Street and the Victorian Cathedral.
